At Eagle Island State Park’s 545 acres, just outside of Boise, you’ll never run out of fun. The park, bordered by the Boise River, offers amenities from a swimming beach and picnic area to five miles of trails where you can hike or try out horseback riding. 

Or, if you want a little competition, you can play on the 19-hole disc golf course. Eagle Island even has a waterslide that is open from Memorial Day to Labor Day. 

Once the snow flies Eagle Island State Park even has a massive inner-tubing hill full of sculpted roller coaster like snow slides.

You can visit the park every day year-round from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. 

Drink at the 3 Horse Ranch Vineyards

As one of the newest additions to the AVA (American Viticultural Areas), the Eagle Foothills contain 50,000 acres of wine tasting country, and one of the best area wineries is the 3 Horse Ranch Vineyards

The 3 Horse Ranch Vineyards grow some of the highest quality grapes in the country, making their wines a worldwide favorite. Here, you can sample delicious reds, like Merlot, Syrah, and Cabernet Sauvignon, while also nibbling on tasty cheeses. 

You can visit Wednesday through Sunday from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m.

A staple of the Eagle community since 2002, the Eagle Saturday Market is an excellent place to find specialty items and support local micro-producers. At the market, you can find fresh produce, locally prepared food, arts and crafts, woodworking, herbs, and flowers. 

The Eagle Saturday Market occurs every Saturday between May and October and is open from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.. You can find the market at the center of Eagle at Heritage Park.

Play at the Banbury Golf Course

One of Idaho’s top golf courses, designed by the famous John Harbottle III, Banbury, is a challenging par 71 course. Located along the Boise River, you can have a fantastic experience here while also taking in the gorgeous scenery of Idaho. 

And, if you’re not yet a golf superstar, Banbury offers lessons for both adults and youth. 

You also don’t have to worry about finding a snack while you’re there, since you can eat great foods on the course’s beautiful dining patio. Try out some juicy burgers or energizing salads so you can have the best experience Banbury has to offer.

The Ada/Eagle Sports Complex and Bike Park, which features over 200 acres, is one of the most extensive in the United States. The park has a vast network of adventures that link to the Ridge to Rivers pathway system. Mountain bikers can ride from Eagle to Lucky Peak Reservoir on trails.

The park includes a variety of skill levels for its trails, ranging from beginner to expert. Other features include freeride jump lines, a pump track, dirt jumps, dual slalom race course, and mountain cross raceway, as well as a BMX track and more!

In addition to world-class mountain bike trails, The Sports Complex also includes a skate park, basketball courts, and an inline hockey rink. Similarly, hikers have a vast area to explore as the trails connect to the Ridge To Rivers Trail System.

Get Your SPEED on at Firebird Raceway

The Firebird Raceway is a drag racing facility with a quarter-mile-long track. Here, fans of all ages can come to watch the races at this National Hot Rod Association member track. 

Besides racing, the track also hosts other events, like the Boise Roadster Show. And, you’ll never go hungry at the raceway since they have plenty of food to choose from, including hot dogs, hamburgers, biscuits and gravy, pizza, and ice cream. 

Plus, don’t forget to grab a souvenir at the store where you can choose from selections such as clothes, decals, signs, patches, posters, pins, and books.
