Treefort Music Fest

When is it? March
The Treefort Music Fest is a 4 day music festival that takes place in Boise, Idaho. The festival was founded in 2012 by Treefort Productions, and has since become one of the most popular music festivals in the United States. The Treefort Music Fest features hundreds of bands and artists across multiple stages, as well as art installations, film screenings, and yoga classes.
Race to Robie Creek

When is it? April
The Race to Robie Creek is a race that takes place in Boise, Idaho. The race is a 12.5-mile race that takes runners from the base of Table Rock to the top of Robie Creek. The race is open to all levels of runners, from beginners to experienced runners.
The Race to Robie Creek began in 1978 as a way to celebrate the opening of the Robie Creek trail. The race has continued every year since then, and has become a popular event among runners in the Northwest area. The race typically draws around 1,000 participants each year, and offers both competitive and non-competitive divisions.

Emmett Cherry Festival

When is it? June
The Emmett Cherry Festival is Idaho’s Premier Art & Cherries Jubilee. For 2 days the streets of historic Downtown Emmett are closed to traffic and open for people to play! With over 300 artists, 100 crafters, great food, 4 stages with continuous live entertainment throughout both days, games for kids, a parade, and the famous cherries jubilee recipe contest.
It’s no wonder that this event draws 30-40 thousand attendees each year. Not only is the festival fun but 100% of profits benefit organizations in the community including Relay for Life through the American Cancer.
Old Boise Oktoberfest

When is it? October of course
The Old Boise Oktoberfest is a must-attend event for anyone who loves beer and German culture. The festival takes place in the heart of downtown Boise, in Julia Davis Park, and offers attendees a chance to sample some of the best beers in the region. In addition to beer, you can also enjoy traditional German food and music at the festival. Admission is free, making it a great option for a fun day out with friends.

Alive After Five

When is it? All summer long
If you are looking for a fun and lively way to spend your evening, look no further than Alive after Five Boise! This event is held every Thursday night from 5pm to 8pm, and features live music, food trucks, and beer gardens. There is no better way to enjoy the summer evenings than by spending them at Alive after Five Boise!
Western Idaho Fair

When is it? August
There’s something for everyone at the Western Idaho Fair. If you’re looking for family-friendly fun, take the kids to ride the carnival rides or watch one of the many animal shows. If you’re in the mood for some delicious food, check out one of the many cooking contests or sample some of the unique Fair cuisine. And if you’re looking for a way to let off some steam, the carnival rides are sure to put a smile on your face.
Bogus Fest

When is it? June
Bogus Fest is a one-of-a-kind music event that includes many legendary rock and country artists playing on two stages at Bogus Basin Recreation Area. There is camping and RV parking so you can keep the party going all night.
Boise Pride Fest

When is it? August
The festival is a great opportunity for people to come together and celebrate their differences. There is something for everyone at Pride Fest, including live music, food vendors, and a parade.

Art In The Park

When is it? September
The Boise Art in the Park is a favorite local art event that takes place every year at Julia Davis Park. The event features over 100 artists displaying their work, plus live music and food trucks. It’s a great opportunity to get out and see some beautiful art, listen to some great music, and enjoy a lovely day in the park. Admission is free, so it’s a great option for a fun day out with friends or family.
Goddess Fest
When is it? July
The Goddess Fest is a three-day celebration of feminine energy and creativity. Held each year in Boise, Idaho, the festival features workshops, ceremonies, music, and art that honor the divine feminine.

Idaho Shakespeare Festival

When is it? June through September
From June to September, the Idaho Shakespeare Festival offers five distinct plays in a series that authentically captures Boise’s unique flavor of world-class theater.
Boise Twilight Criterium

When is it? July
Every year, downtown Boise turns into a high-speed, high-stakes race course for both local and international cyclists. The Boise Twilight Criterium has expanded over the last 33 years to incorporate a full three-day weekend of cycling activities for kids, pros, amateurs, and families that join together to make it one of the most exciting sports on the streets.
Spirit of Boise

When is it? August
The Spirit of Boise hot air balloon festival is one of the most beloved events in the city. Held every year in August, the festival celebrates all things aviation, with hot air balloons taking center stage. Hyde Park Street Fair

When is it? September
You’ll find Hyde Park nestled among the Boise foothills and for the past 40 years, local vendors, bands and food trucks make the Hyde Park Street Fair a Boise staple. Benefiting the North End Neighborhood Association, visitors get to experience one-of-a-kind artisans and enjoy the presence of the community.
Greek Food Festival
Greek Food Festival is an annual labor of love that provides delectable Greek cuisine. A weekend jam-packed with Greek food, live music and dance performances is hosted by Saints Helen and Constantine Greek Orthodox Church.
Festival of Trees
When is it? November
For the past 30 years, Saint Alphonsus has united the community at the Boise Festival of Trees to enjoy Christmas. Through a spectacular gala, fashion show, and hundreds of beautifully decorated Christmas trees, the weekend event aids in bringing forth best health care services to the region.
Winter Garden aGlow

When is it? November – December
Looking to take your Christmas light decorations to the next level? The Idaho Botanical Gardens have over 400,000 color lights covering their grounds. Santa sightings, princesses appearances, the Holiday Express train, and local choruses singing in the Garden are just a few of the nightly events.
Boise Music Festival
When is it? June
The Boise Music Festival has been a major influence in attracting various musical artists to the area, starting in 2010 when Vanilla Ice, Jason Derulo, and Pitbull all performed. The Boise Music Festival is held at Expo Idaho near the end of June as part of the summer festival!
Goathead Fest
When is it? August
The Boise Goathead Fest has become a mainstay in the city’s history to raise awareness about goatheads and their cleanup process. The Goathead Festival is held each year to honor and reward individuals who remove the most goatheads in the region. If you despise goatheads clogging your bike tires, this is the event for you!
Calendar Worthy Boise Idaho Events
